Gastronomy:

The quality of the food, the hospitality and the particular charm of each establishment can only add to the enjoyment of your stay.
The cuisine, whether it be traditional, gastronomic will surely make you fall in love with "la Provence d’Azur."
Choose from local specialities such as barbecued fish, aïoli, traditional fish soup, seafood and bouillabaisse.
To combine these delicacies with the pleasures of Bacchus will liven up the most jaded tastebuds.. Bon appétit!

Local Viticulture:
The village of Lamotte is at the eastern end of the Provence wine-growing region. The village is surrounded by vineyards although, unlike most other wine regions of France, the vineyards are interspersed with woodlands, topographical features and villages.

Just five minutes from Lamotte is the Sainte Roseline winery at Les Arcs. This producer was top of the list of Provence wineries in a recent Sunday Times article on the subject. Domaine Robiega at Draguignan, fifteen minutes from Lamotte, was also mentioned as one of the best. Lesser-known producers such as Chateau Rouet, Chateau d’Eclans are just five minutes from Lamotte, and all do tasting and sales most days of the year.
The Provence region is renowned for its rosé, although most vineyards make rosé and white and probably 50 percent produce rosé, white and red.

It is possible to cover six such vineyards in an afternoon tasting. The trick is to know which one to buy at before you’ve had a chance to taste them all. Maybe a further visit in order to purchase is the answer. We can arrange a local wine-tasting tour if required, and can provide an itinerary with a map so that you can go under your own steam.

At Sainte Roseline you will also see the 17th century chapel with the mummified corpse of the saint and the mosaic by Chagall dated 1976.

Nature:
This exceptional geographical area offers numerous possibilities of walks and nature activities.
The "arboretum de Gratteloup"
Created in 1935, it stretches itself on about 3ha in the heart of the Dom Forest. It is partly composed of Mediterranean essences and chestnuts.
The "Barrage du Trapan"
This big water reserve is an ideal place for walks and is located in a green setting and surrounded by mimosas.
The "Route des Crêtes"
It’s a touristic and picturesque road famous for its exceptional views on the islands and on the Var coast. Allow yourself to stop for an exceptional meal in one of the three inns.
The coast path
17km of made-up paths that go along the clear waters of the Mediterranean, opposite the Iles d’Or... a beautiful site that is yours to discover all year round. Two possibilities are offered to you:
The coast path from "La Favière" to "Les Fouirades"

Local Produce:
Local farmers reap the undoubted benefits of climate, sunshine and a fertilite soil;
viticulture, horticulture and olive production are full scale economic activities.
